Commodities On The Farm
Here at Cegu Valley Farm, many tasks are carried out for the benefit of our homestead. While quantity can be important, here at Cegu our focus is more about variety rather than quantity. What we do, is we start with what our own family needs in terms of nutrition and survival and once that is met, we grow a little more than needed and sell our surplus. One of our aims is food forests. Some trees are new and some have not yet fruited. We eventually hope to add more to the vegetables such as carrots onions, garlic, and maybe even potato. We are desperately awaiting our Avocado to fruit!
To us, it is important to have a variety of options. We are learning to propagate more but still a long way to go. Below is a list of commodities one may find on the farm however keep in mind not all crops listed are grown, this is merely a list of all the commodities we have utilized now or in the past.
